More money is anonymously donated to earthquake victims

Sakado

Two great stories of benevolence in Japan.

As you may know, two months ago, an anonymous donor left a bag of cash in a bathroom at a Sakado city hall in Saitama. The ¥10 million ($129,904) was left with a note that the money be donated to the Tohoku region where the earthquake struck

Then, late last month, another anonymous donation of ¥40 million ($519,616) was left in a plastic bag in a municipal building in Hachinohe, Aomori. A note that was found with the cash requested that the money be divided equally among Miyagi, Iwate, Fukushima and Aomori prefectures to help the victims of the earthquake.

You don’t need to be rich to donate though and every dollar helps so check out the Japanese Red Cross Donation Page and see how you can help!
