In celebration of the Haruki Murakami’s latest novel, 1Q84, website, NOWNESS is running a contest where six people will win a signed copy of the soon to be released English translation of his latest novel along with a complete archive of previous works.
To enter Drawing Inspiration: Murakami, submit an original piece of art inspired by any of the writer’s novels or short stories. See the full list here. Designs of any two-dimensional medium are acceptable.
The competition is open until October 11 (We’re admittedly behind the curve on this one but hey, you still have a day to submit!), followed by a one-week voting period. To enter, visit the contest’s page and use the form at the bottom of the page to upload your work, including the title of the work that inspired it in the description.
For student entrants there is an additional prize. One student entrant will also be rewarded with a paid commission for NOWNESS and have their work published on the site. To be considered for this students must write “student submission” in the description box (university enrollment will be verified by NOWNESS).
