There are so many great films made each year in Japan, that never get a chance to find an audience abroad. So, over the next weeks, months and hopefully years Japan Flix will strive to bring you the best Japanese cinema we can get our hands on. But we’ll need your help. If possible, I would love to see more older films that are not available on subtitled DVDs. For myself, this would include both films from Shin-Toho, to under represented classic filmmakers like Kon Ichikawa, Tomu Uchida and Mikio Naruse.
